The BATF and Members Help Raise Over £9000 for Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity
Last Friday, the British Allied Trades Federation (BATF) and its members, including representatives from the National Association of Jewellers (NAJ) and Giftware Association (GA), grabbed their paddles to help raise significant funds for The Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity.
The 19-person strong team came together to participate in the annual Birmingham Dragon Boat Race to raise much-needed money for the local children's hospital. The team, comprised of BATF, NAJ and GA staff as well as NAJ members, contested in three heats through the canals of Birmingham city.
Thanks to the generous support, the team raised more than £9,000 on the day, adding to the impressive £259,000 total raised across the event. Representatives from Sonny's Jewellers, JQ Diamond, Hockley Mint, TH March, Titcombe Bespoke, J Brookes Design and Paycare helped ensure significant money was raised on the day, and a competitive time was recorded in the boat.
Louise Hadfield, BATF Head of Central Services, shared,
"Thank you to everyone who generously donated their time and money to support a vital charity. We are grateful for having such a generous membership who are always willing to support a great cause."
There is still time to donate and support the Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity.
